Gecko: 'This season I'm more like myself at Roma.'

The central striker of Roma, Gecko thinks his excellent scoring form in the current campaign shows his truer version.
The Bosnian footballer has been scoring a lot of goals. In his nine matches so far, he has scored 8 hits and is currently a leader in Serie A. 'It's amazing that last season I scored 8 goals for the entire campaign. Now I have the same issue only in 9 matches. That is the real Gecko. We need to continue along the same path.', commented the former Wolfsburg player and Manchester City.

'In my career, I've scored many goals but yesterday (in a 4:1 success against Palermo – b. b.) I gave assists to Momo (Muhammad Salah – b. b.) and El Shaarawy. I can do this, but my job is to score a goal.\

'The coach wants me to do more, I also want it. I want to play better and score. We played only 9 games. The coach holds the team to playing the ball behind me and always strive to do. It's in Italian football, I'm doing good. Last season, it was was not so, that's why I don't play as often as I wish.'

''If the Italian soccer is the most difficult? Yes, it is most difficult for attackers. You always face two or three defenders. I didn''t know how to play against the teams in their first year, but now I\'m aware of and I think that shows on the pitch.'

'I feel OK now when everything is OK, but let's see how when I stop putting.', said Gecko with a smile. 'Last year was difficult, but it was in the past, and I want to think about the future. We are the second and we are and must continue in the same way because we are a strong team.', added Gecko.
