Sir Alex insisted: `Moyes was not a mistake.`
Alex Ferguson said the appointment of David Moyes for his successor at Manchester United was the right decision.

`I don`t think we made a mistake with the appointment of Moyes. He did a great job at Everton for 11 years and is a great professional. He was the right choice for us. Unfortunately, things didn`t work out for him.`, announced the 73-year-old Ferguson.
Sir Alex said that Ryan Giggs could be his successor but that was only possible if he had ended the Welsh football career early.
`If Ryan Giggs had given up six, seven years, say, when he was 35, I`d take it to my assistant and after my retirement to make him a manager. But there was no way to tell which player is to end his career in order to become a coach.`
