Djokovic has ensured his leader`s position to the end of the year

Novak Djokovic will end the year as No1, after on Sunday night he has managed to win the title in the US Open. During the season of 2015 the Serb was phenomenal presenting, as so far he has won seven trophies - three are from the Grand Slam tournaments and 4 of "Masters 1000".

Djokovic will finish the year as No1 for the fourth time, after he has done it in 2011, 2012 and 2014. He became the sixth tennis player, finished a season 4 or more times as No1 after Pete Sampras (6), Jimmy Connors and Roger Federer (5), Ivan Lendl and John McEnroe (4). This is the 12th consecutive year, which will end as No1 someone from Djokovic, Federer and Nadal.

"The feeling that I will finish the season as No1 is amazing. Just for that we are fighting from the first day of the year. However, the season is not completed, it has important tournaments in Beijing, Shanghai, Paris and London," said Djokovic, who has already 10 Grand Slam titles.

During this season, Djokovic became only the third player in the Open Era (since 1968), who qualified for the final analyzed by football tips of the all Grand Slam tournaments. Until now this was achieved only by Rod Laver (1969) and Roger Federer (2006, 2007, 2009).
