Soccer tip Max Verstappen: Even on soft I would have been too slow - tire wear was too much

Pilot Red Bull Max Verstappen summed up the sprint before the Grand Prix of Sao Paulo.

Verstappen finished the race in fourth position, behind two Mercedes drivers and Carlos Sainz.

According to Max, today he would not have been able to compete with Mercedes anyway due to problems with tire wear.

At first everything went fine, but in the end it all didn`t work for some reason. I think even on software I would be too slow. True, today we just had too much tire wear.

We will analyze everything, although I`m not sure that before tomorrow`s race we will be able to change something in any case. However, it cannot be worse than today.

Ultimately, when your tires wear so much more than your competitors, it doesn`t matter what type of rubber you use. I think for a start we just need to try to improve the situation with wear, and then the tires will work normally. The battles themselves were great. Yes, I was on the side of the losers in them, but I still liked it, - said Verstappen.
