Camila Giorgi, who retired at the beginning of May, removed expensive antique furniture from the villa, which she and her family rented before leaving Italy.
According to la Repubblica, Giorgi, when leaving the villa in Calenzano, did not pay six months` rent and stole half of the furniture from it, including Persian carpets and an antique table weighing half a ton. According to the owner of the villa, the damage caused is estimated at 50-100 thousand euros.
I wrote to [Camila`s father Sergio Giorgi] that they should at least return our things, and he responded contemptuously that these items were not of much value. A disgusting attitude towards a person who has suffered economic and also emotional damage. I don`t know how true this is and how much Camila owes the state, but I know that she owes us. These objects were part of my life and my mother`s life. I want to get them back at least, given that we have already lost hope of getting back thousands of euros in rent.
The woman said that several months ago neighbors notified her that several vans were arriving to load furniture.
When I arrived, there was no one left, and the house was half empty. But in the garden there were some pieces of furniture and carpets stacked on top of each other. They probably filled the trucks and didn`t know where to put the things, " the woman added.
It was previously reported that the 32-year-old tennis player is being pursued by the Italian tax service.
